Join us!
We welcome members of all ages and abilities, whatever your camera skills and whether you enjoy your photography as a hobby or as a profession.
We meet every first Monday of the month, 7.00pm - 9:30pm at the Skills Centre, Well Park, Holsworthy, Devon, UK.
Our next regular meeting will be held on Monday, September 6th 2010 when we shall have a Members competition evening with the theme 'Just for laughs / Just for pleasure'.
We shall also be holding a club photoshoot on Sunday, September 19th 2010 at Lower Tamar Lake, meeting at 2:00PM. We hope that you can join us!

Trips and Events
Having fun, sharing creative ideas and solving photography problems in the field are just a few of the benefits that can come about from joining us on one of our local photo-shoots.
We try to arrange at least two photo-shoots 'on-location' each year, choosing different places to visit at various times and seasons. The aim of these informal events is to share some time together as a club, to learn a little more about taking photographs in a variety of situations and weathers and to perhaps try out some of the functions on your camera that you have never used before!
We are also pleased to stage exhibitions and displays of our photography in support of local charities and community events.

Thanks in part to our funding from the National Lottery Fund - Awards for All Scheme, the Phoenix Camera Club has been pleased to stage a number of photographic displays and exhibitions recently.

Widemouth Photo-Shoot - July 19th 2010
Despite some dull weather and an overcast sky, an intrepid group of Phoenix Camera Club members met at Widemouth Bay recently for a social photo-shoot. The group split up and explored the beach to see what they could see. We then moved on to Crackington Haven for a few more shots, before retiring to the pub for a welcome drink.
Our best shots will be presented at a club evening later in the year (date to be decided).
St Peters Fair, Holsworthy & Winsford Centre, Halwill Junction - July 2010
Once more the Phoenix Camera Club was asked to present an exhibition of work as part of this years Holsworthy St. Peters Fair Celebrations.
Our exhibition was presented in St Peters Church, Holsworthy from July 7th, 2010 to July 10th 2010.
Our images were also displayed at the Winsford Trust Open Day, The Winsford Centre, Halwill Junction on Sunday July 11th 2010.
Our displays were visited by a large number of visitors and we received some very encouraging comments on our work.
